Looks like four thousand dollars. It isn't.

A women's dress watch. Swiss quartz, sapphire crystal, rose gold. Expected retail $395 — a working figure, not yet confirmed.

The thinking

Most watches under five hundred dollars are built to a price. Above it, much of what you pay for is the name on the dial.

We wanted a third option. Solid steel, sapphire, a Swiss movement, and a case shaped with the care of a house that charges ten times more.

The money went where a hand can find it — the step of the bezel, the weight of the links, the way the clasp closes. Nothing was added to fill a specification sheet.

Material without noise. Shape without excess.

The dial

Read at a glance

Applied Roman numerals at twelve, three, six and nine, batons elsewhere. They stand off the dial rather than being printed onto it.

The surface is finely stippled, so it holds light instead of throwing it back. Two lancet hands. No date window. No seconds hand. Nothing that isn't needed.

The case

Two finishes, one line

A brushed outer bezel, then a polished inner chamfer. A mirror chamfer runs the length of the top edge, against brushed flanks — the two finishes meet on a single line that travels the whole case.

Flat, straight lugs, so the case sits low and reads as one piece.

Two bracelets

Leather or rose gold

Full-grain leather, lined and edge-finished, dyed to the exact tone of its dial. Or solid flat links in the same PVD rose gold as the case — constant width, no taper, never hollow.

Both close on a butterfly deployant clasp with the medallion cap, and both run quick-release bars.

Changing between them takes seconds, and no tools.

Leather straps ship as a separate accessory, each with its own clasp.

Navy. Burgundy. Forest. On solid flat-link rose gold, or on leather dyed to the dial.

The presentation box Box · Roll · Watch

Monogrammed canvas over a rigid shell, bound at every corner in navy leather and stitched by hand.

Suede within, blind-embossed with the name, shaped around the travel roll so nothing shifts in transit.

The caseback

Sealed with the mark

Solid rose gold, one flat level, held by four screws. The whole surface carries the same stipple as the dial, so front and back are finished alike.

Four fleur-de-lis in a raised disc at the centre, the name arced above, the materials below — all of it engraved, nothing printed where a sleeve can wear it away.

Closed rather than exhibition. A quartz movement is not something to look at.

Materials

Sapphire crystal

The same glass used in Swiss watches costing several thousand. It does not scratch, and it is coated so the dial stays legible at an angle.

316L steel

Marine grade and hypoallergenic, plated in high-grade PVD rose gold. The case, the caseback and every link are cut from it.

Swiss quartz

A Ronda movement, accurate to seconds a month. No winding, no servicing, a battery every few years. It keeps the case thin.

Every few years, changed by a watchmaker so the gasket is reseated.

Two years from purchase, against the movement and the finish.

First run

300 pieces. The list goes first.

Leave an email and you get first access when the run opens, below the expected retail price. One or two emails between now and then. Nothing else.

First run ships an estimated 4–5 months after production is confirmed. Deposits are refundable at any time before the balance payment.
